Another reason to love London - Elephants in London
Lame as this may sound, I've busy searching for 258 elephants all over London.
The Elephant Parade is a conservation campaign that shines a multi-coloured spotlight on the urgent crisis faced by the endangered Asian elephant.
Brought to you by www.elephantfamily.org, the event sees over 250 brightly painted life-size elephants located over central London this summer.
Each decorated by a different artist or celebrity, the elephants brighten and beautify the city, enhancing every park, street corner and building they grace. Running from May to July 2010, this is London’s biggest outdoor art event on record.
My husband has been following me around the West End searching for elephants; and, the loveliest thing is: we're not the only ones armed with maps, a pen and a camera going elephant hunting!! Today we met tons (and I mean tons) of people going on the same route as we did to search for these elephants. We found 54 elephants today! :)
I'll be uploading photos of my favourite elephants in my blog over the next few days! Check back in with us to follow our search!
